Westwind Harmony Chorus continues even after the lights went out on their rehearsal on August 26 and it wasn't even a storm! The picture taken below was when they were in small groups taking care of business.
The lights went off and on all night with most of the time being off! What troopers to hang in there, now that's passion!

Welcome Dee Dee to Westwind Harmony Chorus she passed her audition with flying colors and she will be singing Bass. She is no stranger when it comes to barbershop music as she has been a member of SAI for 18 years. WHC is thrilled to have her and the basses are excited!

Installation of officers: PHX was our EMCEE.
They welcomed passengers on flight 497 to friendly skies on WHC airlines from PHX as it is their main hub.

You have earned your wings as you all participate in ensuring the flight is smooth and comfortable for all the passengers on board.- Janet – finds ways and means to fund snack to give passengers and ensure passengers are comfortable
- Patti- will go over some processes and important information about WHC airlines to our recent new passengers and to have all passengers watch out for overhead bins as they may shift during flight. Remind them, no swearing as there could be potential passengers on board,
- Susan – explains what happens if WHC loses air pressure, which could be an event. Be sure to help yourself to the oxygen tank before helping others.
- Jo-Anne – prepare before all performances that costumes fit properly, it’s like making sure your seat belt is fastened and secured.
- Diana – control tower with a chair and without proper communication could be a mishap on the runway or worse show up in wrong place or worse yet miss the flight.
- Marsha – Airline cursor– you are in charge and responsible for everything no matter what!
- T – you are the Co-pilot, world renowned educator. Your flight plans keeps all on our toes and no destination is too far.
- Brent – Senior Pilot continues mass demonstration WHC at each destination with expanding their range and capacity every year.

Thank you all for your outstanding services and you all have earned your wings!
With the jet propulsion invested in us by WHC, we are now clear for takeoff on runway 21 – the skies have no boundaries to infinity and beyond.

Westwind Harmony Chorus 2024 Sweet Adeline Award goes to Theresa Weatherbee! Theresa has been a member of WHC for over 3 years. What she has accomplished in the last 3 years has been extraordinary and above the call of duty. Her creativity, tenaciousness, coaching, marketing skills, ideas, executing those ideas and making things happen. Region21 Competition 2024 video
This competition was a lot of fun, from preparing for months and months to our actual performance on stage! We did good and we were satisfied with our results. We placed sixth overall and received a medal for third place in our category. We have already started working on areas that need some improvements and celebrating our accomplishments!

On October 28, 2023, Saturday, we had our Holiday workshop and spent about 4 hours shaping up our holiday A Capella Concert! It was an awesome workshop, and we all feel great about what we accomplished and will continue to rehearse and perform and be ready for our concerts in December.
We all figured Christmas is around the corner and we will be wearing our holiday attire soon, so we decided to something different and wore Hawaiian shirts! Aloha!

At chorus this past week Oct 16, 2023, our team leader Marsha shared with us the following:
'So often we don’t realize how lucky we are …. We tend to take things for granted. Well, let me tell you, Brent and Theresa are very special.
This past weekend, Theresa gave a wonderful, well received, class at the Far Western District Convention and Competition. She recently has traveled all over the world coaching choruses and quartets.
Later in the weekend Brent was honored with a commemorative plaque honoring his 25 years as a Barbershop Harmony Society judge. He is also recognized as a premier arranger as he has arranged over 300 songs. He not only arranged music but is so generous with his coaching skills. He is always willing to help a chorus or quartet with a new introduction or tag for their music.
Let’s be sure to NOT take this wonderful duo for granted. We are so blessed to have them as our leadership team!'
Marsha is so right; we are blessed and so grateful to have these two on our team! Saying it out loud is needed sometimes.

Members from Westwind Harmony Chorus went to Scottsdale Chorus' 'Go for the Gold' performance, which was amazing. Our very own member Amy M is also in the Scottsdale chorus. We also saw awesome performances by PHX quartet, SparX quartet and A Capella Syndicate chorus, which our director Brent G also co-directs the A Capella Syndicate! What a fun, beautiful and entertaining evening.

Monday night, July 10, Westwind Harmony Chorus surprised Theresa Weatherbee with honoring her accomplishments and her well-deserved position as the first woman judge for BHS international Convention. She judged in the performance category last week which was in Louisville Kentucky. We are so proud of her! Westwind Harmony is honored and blessed to have her as our Assistant Director and Performance Coach.

Second Quarter - 2023
Westwind Harmony has new shirts, color blue with a new logo and on the back of shirt is our name in bling. We got our shirts just in time for our Sing A Cappella workshop.
Sing A Cappella was a huge success for Westwind Harmony Chorus on April 29, 2023. We had fourteen women register for the workshop and the four hours just flew by. With the help of region 21 4th place medalist, PHX Quartet, we had lots of fun learning a new song, putting together a performance plan and getting to perform it. We are so excited; we are already planning for next year’s workshop. Since the workshop, we had 3 ladies that were at our workshop are now members of the chorus.
In June - we wore our new blue shirts during rehearsal to bring awareness to arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC) Day June 30. One of our members, the one in the middle, granddaughter, Mo, has this condition.

FIRST QUARTER - 2023
Brent Graham, director and Theresa Weatherbee, co-director/performance coach and members of Westwind Harmony chorus have been working hard on new songs and getting ready for Sweet Adelines, Region21 competition in Alburqueque NM March 16-18. The big event finally arrived and we all had a great time being together and seeing people we haven't seen in over 3 years. The bonding alone with each other was the best part! We had a lot of fun! We are now getting ready for 'Sing A Cappella' workshop for women of all ages occurring on Saturday April 29th 2023.

Brent Graham is the director of Westwind Harmony Chorus and Theresa Weatherbee is co-director/performance coach and have been with us now for one full year! Westwind Harmony Chorus feels blessed to have both and are incredibly grateful! We had a very busy year with coaching weekend with Debra Lynn. Our own weekend retreat with Brent and Theresa. Learned new songs to add to our repertoire for general and holidays. Cleaned up some of the old repertoire songs. We had a fabulous awards banquet and installment of officers and more... We finished the year out with our holiday programs! We are now gearing up for Regional competitions!

Cappella Christmas Concert featuring two choruses Sunday December 18, a one time afternoon show went very well!
Westwind Harmony chorus, a women's group, and a chapter of region 21 Sweet Adelines International, along with the Desert Aires chorus, a men's group and a Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society held a spectacular A Cappella Christmas concert for one glorious afternoon only!
It was an awesome concert and loved by all and thank you to Westwind Harmony and Desert Aires choruses and their directors Brent Graham and Cary Burns! Outstanding!!!

Westwind Harmony Chorus had their own March Madness:
Westwind Harmony had an amazing coaching session with the extraordinary Debra Lynn March 4 through March 7. Her teachings are life changing as a singer and it feels wonderful to be able to sing with such ease.
All members had a PVI session with Debra. There were workshops for each of the sections and a workshop for the chorus during their regular Monday evening sessions. Besides the education, there was bonding, confidence in self and in each other and belief that the methods taught do work and of course a lot of fun!
