A lot has changed in the last few years and it was a good time to do some adjustments to some of the current positions; therefore, the Management Team met and revamped some of the positions. |
Learning some new dance steps and having fun! |
Westwind Harmony Chorus had their own March Madness: Westwind Harmony had an amazing coaching session with the extraordinary Debra Lynn March 4 through March 7. Her teachings are life changing as a singer and it feels wonderful to be able to sing with such ease. All members had a PVI session with Debra. There were workshops for each of the sections and a workshop for the chorus during their regular Monday evening sessions. Besides the education, there was bonding, confidence in self and in each other and belief that the methods taught do work and of course a lot of fun! To see all the pictures, go to the 'Photos' page under 'News & Events' tab. |
Westwind Harmony Chorus is excited about their workshops and PVI with Debra Lynn, vocal coach, starting March 4 through March 7, 2022. All the members will get a one-on-one session with Debra as well as sectional workshops and a chorus workshop. About Debra Lynn: She combines a lifetime journey of transformation with a deep understanding of empowerment and enrollment, with highly specialized Bel Canto vocal training and professional singer experience to assist others to access their beautiful, authentic voice with ease. Her deepest wish is to help facilitate your access to this gift we all have in a way that supports you the most. |
We had a very busy Holiday Season with doing 5 holiday events which we are so grateful for during these pandemic times. Our director Bill Shaw resigned as of 1-1-22 and having him direct us this past year for the holiday concerts made it that much more meaningful and special! There were retirement parties for Bill with sharing lots of fond memories. We wish Bill the best and thank him for all what he has done for our chorus! Brent Graham is now the director. Theresa Weatherbee will be co-director/performance coach. Westwind Harmony chorus is very familiar with Brent and Theresa as they have coached us numerous times! We look forward to working with Brent and Theresa. Westwind Harmony is blessed of having great directors in the past and now having Brent and Theresa, we are very grateful! Pictured Brent Graham and Bill Shaw! |
Westwind Harmony Chorus, WHC, Sweet Adeline of the year (SAY) Award went to JoAnne Conner - she saved the chorus during Covid-19 times with getting zoom and coordinating the sessions, so we all had a platform to continue to see each other and be able to continue to sing. It also allowed showing some great videos for physical and vocal warmups using zoom. Presenting the award to JoAnne is Deanna Hazard, also a former WHC SAY award. Also, pictured with JoAnne and Deanna are the previous WHC SAY award - Diane Lalley, Marsha Shaw, Carol Schroeder, and Sue Cunningham. Behind JoAnne is her husband Bill, daughter Jen and grand-daughter Caity. |
